A Guide On How To Connect Bose SoundSport To PC

A headset can be a useful communication tool, especially if you work from home and want to avoid distraction by blocking out background noise.

Most headsets now have wireless connectivity, allowing you to be more mobile while being productive.

One of the most popular wireless audio products on the market is the Bose SoundSport. The Bose SoundSport may be relatively pricier than its competitors, but it has advanced capabilities and lossless sound quality. What is the best way to connect your Bose SoundSport to your computer?

How To Connect Bose SoundSport To PC

Here’s how to link your computer to a pair of wireless Bose headphones:

    1. Click on the square icon on your screen’s lower-right to open Windows Action Center.
    2. Turn on your Bluetooth.
    3. Right-click on Bluetooth, and from the options, select Go to Settings. Alternatively, you can get to Settings long-pressing Bluetooth. However, not all devices support this function.
    4. Select Add Bluetooth or other devices.
    5. Go to Bluetooth.
    6. Make your Bose headphones discoverable by turning them on and pressing the power switch to the far right. If done correctly, your Bose headphones should have a beep sound and a flashing blue light.
    7. Select your Bose headphones from the list of Bluetooth devices. Your computer may discover other nearby Bose headphones or speakers, so double-check the model number and the icon to the left of the name.
    8. The pairing will begin immediately, and you should get a completion notice within a few seconds.
  • When you switch on your Bose headphones and turn on Bluetooth on your computer, the headphones will automatically connect.

Note: To connect your Bose headphones wirelessly, your PC must support Bluetooth. If your PC lacks Bluetooth, you can still use the wired aux cable connection to connect your Bose headphones. You can also add Bluetooth to your PC using an external Bluetooth drive.

Fortunately, you can fix headphones that have stopped working in several ways. Identifying the issue usually takes only a few minutes of experimentation.

Bluetooth conflicts, uncharged batteries, and Windows pairing errors could all be stopping your Bose headphones from connecting to your laptop or computer.

About The Bose Connect App

Bose Connect is a free app that allows you to maximize the functionality of your Bose wireless devices. It allows you to update your software, change the settings on your headset, rapidly manage Bluetooth connections, and access new features.

In the background, the application synchronizes with new software and only installs it when needed.

When Software Update Is Not Working Via The Bose Connect App

You may have unsuccessfully tried updating your Bose software via the Connect App.  Here’s what to do to resolve this problem:

  • Ensure that the battery is at least 20% charged. You can only install an update if the battery level is higher than 20%.
  • If the Bose Connect app isn’t working, connect the device to a computer with a USB cord to update the software.
  • Check that the Connect app is up to date. Sometimes, an outdated app may be responsible for this problem.
  • Clear the associated device list in your Bose speaker and any Bluetooth-enabled device.

The Bose SoundSport Design

The Bose SoundSport Wireless is stylish and sporty. They come in various colors, spoiling you for choice, and they have a premium, well-designed appearance. Unfortunately, they’re a touch thick and protrude out of your ears after you put them on.

The Bose SoundSport is well-made. The earbuds are dense and composed of durable plastic that should withstand a few drops. Thanks to a rubber coating, the audio cord is sturdy, and the in-line control module is sweat-proof.

Unfortunately, the wire is neither flat nor rubberized, which would make it more durable. The device is not as sweat-proof as the manufacturer claims, and prolonged exposure to humidity may cause them to deteriorate, which is a disappointment.

The Bose SoundSport’s earphone tips are comfortable. Because they don’t go all the way into the ear canal, they don’t produce the same level of discomfort as in-ear headphones.

They do, however, occasionally shift around as you’re walking, which can be annoying and infuriating, especially if it compromises the audio.

The control scheme on the Bose SoundSport Wireless is subpar. They have call/music, track skip, and volume controls. However, they don’t have adequate tactile feedback.

The sweat-proof buttons are quite huge and have a lot of rubber on them. Regrettably, this makes pressing the buttons, notably the volume controls, difficult.

The Bose SoundSport Wireless, like other in-ear headphones, have a lot of airflows. Because of their design, they trap a small amount of heat within the ear canal, making the notch of your ears somewhat warmer, but it’s a minor increase in temperature, which shouldn’t cause you to sweat more than usual.

The wireless Bose SoundSport headphones are small enough to put in a pocket, a backpack, or a handbag. They’re slightly larger than conventional in-ear headphones, but the cord isn’t very long or thick, so they don’t take up too much space. They’re a touch bigger than some other wireless in-ear headphones, but they’re still very portable.

Bose SoundSport Features

Battery life:

The overall battery life of the Bose SoundSport Wireless is average. Their six-hour battery life is average, and charging takes 1.5 hours, which is long given their limited battery life. On the plus side, they offer an auto-off feature that helps save battery life.

App support:

You receive an auto-off timer that you can adjust at various intervals, a basic in-app media player, and a battery level indicator. Unfortunately, this program lacks an equalizer, room effects, or other experience-enhancing features that differentiate it from the competition.

NFC and multi-device pairing are available on the Bose SoundSport Wireless. So, you can pair them with an NFC-enabled device or pair them to both your work PC and your phone to listen to audio from both.

While the latency of these headphones is rather high on both Android and PC, it is relatively low on iOS. It’s worth mentioning that some apps appear to compensate for this, so your results may vary depending on how often you use your Android device regularly.

Bose SoundSport Sound Profile

The Bluetooth performance of the Bose SoundSport Wireless, on the other hand, is excellent, capable of handling trains and workplaces full of phones without losing its wireless integrity.

The sound profile of the Bose SoundSport Wireless is balanced and neutral. They have a slight boost in bass, but it’s not overbearing or boomy. They’ll work nicely with a wide range of genres and topics.

These earphones are energetic and dynamic. While you can get more tonal fidelity in the bass from a non-wireless pair for the same price, the SoundSport Wireless aren’t awful in comparison.

While the Bose SoundSport Wireless doesn’t have the same level of clarity as some earphones at this price point, they are among the best-sounding wireless in-ears available.

Bose has created a sound characteristic with no obvious flaws: no harshness, excellent detail, and no evident focus on one area of the frequency range that may turn some people off.

Can You Update Your Bose SoundSport On Windows 10?

Bose’s official website provides an app for updating Bose headphones, speakers, and other devices using your PC. Unfortunately, this method can be buggy, and many users have reported that it does not always work.

If the Windows app is not working, you can update your Bose headphones with the Bose Connect app. The Connect App is available for Android and iOS devices.

Without cables, this official program can wirelessly download and distribute updates to your Bose headphones. When linked to your iPhone or another smart device, you can use your Bose headphones with your PC.

Can You Use Bose SoundSport To Play Games On PC?

With Bose headphones, you may listen to any sound emanating from the PC. However, because Bose headphones may experience a small delay in establishing a wireless connection, gamers will want to use the aux cable wired connection to guarantee proper audio synchronization.

The Quiet Comfort Gaming Headset is the only variant that comes with a microphone. If you wish to use voice chat while playing a video game on your computer with Bose headphones, you’ll either need to purchase this model or use a separate microphone.

Bose SoundSport Repairs

Bose offers repair services for its products. You can reach their help center via the toll-free number 1-877-210-3782 for assistance. Also, dial 1-800-233-4416 if you need help with their aviation headsets.

For the best possible service, please have your product nearby when you call. The service center is open on weekdays from 9 AM – 9 PM ET.

The Bose SoundSport Wireless sports earphones are a terrific choice. They’re comfy to wear at the gym and should be stable and breathable. They’re lightweight and come with a good carrying case.

You can connect your SoundSport to your PC via Bluetooth. So, your PC must support Bluetooth. If your PC lacks Bluetooth, you can add it using an external Bluetooth drive.

Their sound signature is well-balanced, and their semi-open design provides a larger soundstage than typical in-ears. Unfortunately, their six-hour battery life is subpar, and they don’t block as much noise as comparable in-ear/earbuds, making them unsuitable for commuting.
